“Indeed God provides!”, exclaimed one of
the volunteers during our first Bible Study at the Mission House. We prayed
about this after Alpha Phils. received a notice to immediately vacate the
Licoan office last October, 2012 because the owner need to repair the
dilapidated building.
Perfectly
timed when Tukod Net needed it most, last November 15, the Most Rev. Antonio J.
Ledesma, SJ, DD offered the Carmelite Mission House at Sta. Cruz 1, Lapasan, CDO for the use
of Tukod as its office and mission center, after confiding to him the problem
of Tukod.
Hailed as a dream come true and an
answered prayer, the new Tukod Mission House and Office will make the team more
effective in fulfilling its commitment to help parish renewal through
evangelization.

Holding office at the second floor is
Alpha Philippines, sharing facilities and resources with Tukod which uses the
Alpha Courses as its evangelizing tool.
True to its name, Tukod Mission House
will also serve as a venue for volunteers to meet, plan, strategize their
evangelization activities, and even receive some support for their spiritual
needs.
Thanks to the generosity of Archbishop Ledesma for his trust and
confidence, Tukod now has a more spacious site with lounge, kitchen, rooms for
small retreat, training, holding of small numbers for Alpha Courses, meetings
and a backyard for our volunteers’ fellowship!
This place is very significant and
memorable to Alpha because it was in Sta. Cruz Chapel, Lapasan of
Jesus Nazareno Parish, where the first Alpha Course was conducted from Sept. to
Nov.,2005.
A thanksgiving to our
Lord for giving us a house to the place where we started 8 years ago the first Alpha
Course in a Catholic Context in Mindanao and in the Philippines
.
The Tukod Mission House and
Alpha Phils. office is near the Limketkai Center and formerly Ororama Complex
and currently Puregold.

Again we enjoin the volunteers, sponsors,
officers and supporters to join us pray for resources needed for the repair of
the building; install an iron grilles of
the windows; elevate the surrounding areas to prevent rain water to enter the
ground floor; temporary extension of the training center to provide more guests
or participants; conduct an Alpha Course of the new neighborhood; and prayers
for protection and longer stay in the mission house.
