140 Attended Alpha For Parish Leaders at St. Francis Xavier, Pueblo

After several months of postponement, the alpha Course for the leaders was held last November  11 to  27.  This includes 3 Thursday nights and 1 half day on a Saturday as a weekend Holy Spirit retreat.

This was hosted by the St. Francis Xavier Chaplaincy and held at their multi-purpose building at Pueblo de Oro, Cagayan de Oro City. 

 141   leaders from the Immaculate Conception Parish of Aluba and St Francis Xavier Chaplaincy at Pueblo de Oro attended. This includes the chapel leaders from Xavier Heights, Camella Homes, Pueblo de Oro,  Morning Mist,  Buena de Oro, Aluba Subd., Taguanao, Calacapan, Elena Homes, Melicia Homes, Macasandig and the youth group from Aluba.

For 4 weeks or a month they religiously came for the three weekly sessions every Thursday  that was started at 6:00 pm with a light dinner, followed by  a 30 minutes talks and a 1 hour group dynamics or about  2 hours and a half every session.

The Holy Spirit Retreat was done on a Saturday of the fourth week where healing  and Holy Spirit empowerment sessions are conducted. Msgr. Florencio “Boy” Salvador, Jr. (above) talked on BEC, a new way of being Church and the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist that culminated the Alpha Course for the Leaders. 

Msg. Boy then encouraged the leaders to take part of  living and building small communities and experience the real church. He further asked their support and involvement  in BEC by pouring their 3T’s to build and renew the church thru small communities as he said, Simbahan – usa ka pamilya sa mga pamilya, usa ka katilingban sa mga katilingban.”
